LOHR Warranty & Care Policy

Every LOHR piece is crafted with care and inspected before delivery. Our warranty is designed to support you should a manufacturing issue arise, while also helping you care for your jewellery over time.

1. Manufacturing Warranty

LOHR provides a 12-month manufacturing warranty from the date of delivery.

During this period, we will repair any confirmed manufacturing fault at no cost to you.

Manufacturing faults may include:

  • Setting defects

  • Structural issues with the mounting

  • Loose stones caused by a manufacturing error

  • Clasp or fastening defects

If a manufacturing issue cannot reasonably be repaired, LOHR may, at our discretion, replace the item.

2. What is Not Covered

The warranty does not cover damage caused by wear, impact or misuse. This includes:

  • Accidental damage

  • Bent claws or settings from impact

  • Chipped or broken stones

  • Scratches and surface wear

  • Metal wear or thinning over time

  • Lost stones due to impact or improper care

  • Third-party repair or resizing

  • Normal ageing of metals (including patina or plating wear)

Any repairs outside the warranty period, or not considered a manufacturing fault, can still be completed by LOHR for a quoted service fee.

3. Ring Resizing

On eligible engagement rings, LOHR offers one complimentary resize provided:

  • The design allows safe resizing; and

  • The request is made within 12 months of delivery

Some designs cannot be resized or may be limited in adjustment (for example full diamond bands or certain pavé settings). We will advise you if resizing is not recommended.

Further resizing or major size adjustments may incur a fee.

4. Care Requirements

Your warranty is conditional on reasonable care being taken with your jewellery and adherence to the LOHR Care Guide provided with every purchase.

Fine jewellery should be removed during:

  • Exercise or sport

  • Heavy lifting

  • Gardening

  • Swimming (especially pools and ocean)

  • Cleaning or chemical exposure

Failure to follow recommended care instructions may void the warranty where damage results from improper use.

5. Servicing and Inspection

We recommend periodic inspection and professional cleaning to maintain your piece. Over time, claws and settings naturally wear and require maintenance.

Regular servicing helps prevent stone loss and prolongs the life of your jewellery.

6. Making a Warranty Claim

If you believe your piece has a manufacturing fault, please contact:

hello@lohrjewellery.com.au

Include:

  • Your name

  • Order number (if available)

  • A description of the issue

  • Photographs of the piece

We will advise next steps and provide shipping instructions where required.

Please do not arrange third-party repairs prior to contacting us, as this may void the warranty.

7. Australian Consumer Law

This warranty operates in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. You may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund for major failures that cannot be excluded by law.
